Dare to DIY in English

I can't remember where I saw the idea of combining velvet and cotton on a t-shirt, but I just couldn't get it out of my head. I started this DIY a long time ago, but it exasperated me: my sewing machine (or maybe my limited sewing skills) didn't work well with velvet: what I got was a complete disaster. I had never in my whole life sewed a sleeve, and when I discovered how to do it, I was absolutely fed up with experimenting... so I gave in. A few days ago I decided to get down to it again, so here it is!
