DIY Project: customize your bikini with vintage fabrics

Here we go with the second customized bikini. This is going to be a little bit simpler than the last one I did. I had this swimsuit since a long time ago, but I just couldn't throw it away: I love crochet on swimwear and I still haven't found another (white) bikini that I like better than this one. However, I thought it was time to give it a makeover.

I found some vintage fabrics in my grandfather's house and I instantly felt like I had to do something with them (they're truly vintage, they've been in the depths of a closet for at least 30 years!!). You can use any fabric you already have or buy some swimsuit lycra. Also, when you cut the strips, you can sew the edges to achieve a more polished finish. Nevertheless, I prefered a threadbare effect on this DIY, as the bikini I'm using is made of crochet.
What do you guys think? Have you ever done any DIY with vintage fabrics? Have you ever customized a swimsuit? I hope you liked it ;)

DIY Project: customize your bikini

Here's my first DIY project for the beach. The process may seem so long, but it's actually just about making a"bracelet" with beads and attaching it to your swimsuit. This DIY is so funny to do. so I hope you guys like it!
Bikini: H&M.

I really loved the result, I hope I can show you better pictures of this bikini (from my holidays) very soon! What do you guys think?? Would you dare to do this yourself?

Hi again! Finally I have my arm freed from bandages and plasters (thanks God!!) and I've also finished my MA so I can take up my DIY's again. These last weeks have been crazy, but everything turned out more than perfect. So here I am: desperately craving for endless summer days. Here's a little bit of DIY inspiration to wear under the sun. I'll show you what I'm working on in a few days.

Have fun!

A great DIY idea: sportswear & heels

Me, the person who loves equally extremely high heels and Converse, just got fascinated.
During the last few weeks, I've been thinking about a different way to customize a pair of Converse. And I actually love studs, but everybody has already done that. When it comes to glitter and all that sparkly stuff... OMFG! if it's not Miu Miu... no thanks! But I finally found the perfect inspiration:

These kind of Converse are from BE&D Big City and you can buy them here. Also, if you want to see awesome painted sneakers I recommend you Laura's blog: Pinto Zapas. She has a great talent, it's really worth it to spend a while looking at her work.

The point of this DIY is that the drawing is simple and a powerful icon at the same time. I'll think about another optical illusion: my new DIY goal will be to play with false appearances, we'll see what comes out.
