LBD Rehab: 10 ideas to update your Little Black Dress

I'm sorry not to be able to update this blog as much as I would like. However, I have some new DIYs ready, and some new videos. One of them will be my first collaboration with the magazine Kaiser on Heels, which is coming up this week.

These new projects will focus on Christmas. I'll show you how to update some wardrobe essentials such as an LBD or a pair of black court shoes in order to make them look a little bit more eye-catching. Hope you guys like this LBD rehab inspiration!

My DIY inspiration for Craft Wars

Lee esto en Castellano
Recently I was invited to take part on the Craft Wars, organized by BuzzFeed. This month's challenge was studded shoes, which is not as easy as it seems. Even though I love studs, I think it's a quite limited material if you want to come up with something really unique. So I took this as a personal challenge. Can't wait to show you guys the result!

So here are some pictures that inspired me for this challenge. I hope you guys like this :)
Remember that if you have any doubts about studs you can read my Guide for the Use of Studs and Spikes, even though I will have to give update it, as I just discovered a new method.

Hi everyone!
Here's a DIY Nail Art video tutorial inspired by these booties I made a few weeks ago and my new cat watch that I showed you on Instagram (@sylvia_daretodiy). I'm aware that this nail art is a little bit special and not everybody would dare to wear it. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy this video!

(The best) Nail Art Inspiration

Lee esto en Castellano
Last week I discovered something I just couldn't keep to myself: it is, without any sort of doubt, the best nail art blog I've ever seen, Its name is Polish All The Nail.com. It is not easy to find creative, funny and elegant designs without all those tacky 3D roses. Enjoy the inspiration!
But there's something really sad in this story: I had already seen some of these designs but I hadn't ever heard of this wonderful blog. The reason is that some Instagram profiles (some of them with more than 600K followers) steal the contents that some talented people create and they don't even mention the author.

After seeing the blog of this girl, and all the work that's behind every post she makes (just take a look the quality of the pictures, she takes them with a macro) I decided to unfollow all those profiles. I know it's not easy because they post really nice pictures and so inspiring contents. However, we should all be aware that they are winning followers and making money thanks to the work of photographers, artists, designers and bloggers that remain in anonymity.
And here's my version of her giraffe design I showed you guys a few days ago on Instagram (sylvia_daretodiy).

Hope you guys loved this inspiration as much as I do!
